Study Tips

The key to learning any new language is practice.  Look at similar words and recognize patterns in the roots of the word. For example, "bio" (means life) and "logy" (means study of), you can now determine that geology must be the study of "geo".  (see page 482 of your text)

Also, try creating flash cards for yourself, one side would have the term and the other would have the definition/description.  Don't just test yourself, it is important that you verbalize the information as well.  The best way to learn is by teaching someone else.

I can't emphasize enough the importance of reviewing your notes/resources on a regular basis not just before a test or exam.
